Short Bio
I studied Biological Physics in undergrad where I pursued research in oceanography studying the intersection of physics and biology, especially at more regional/local scales of 100km-10km or less. After undergrad, I went to Germany on a Fulbright fellowship to study the impact of turbulence produced by offshore wind farms in the North Sea on primary productivity via high resolution modeling and in-situ observations. I am now pursuing a PhD in physical oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where I intend to stay involved with environmental groups and policy-related research - especially on offshore wind, carbon sequestration, ecological resiliency, and climate change.
Hobbies and Interests
I love being outdoors and I love the ocean! My favorite hobbies are sailing, running, hiking, and anything that involves play outside. I also love to read (though I never make enough time for it) and to cook :)
